Paamul, along with Xcalacoco
and Tankah, seem to have been ports of embarkation and
unloading for the Mayan boats that transported merchandise
throughout the Caribbean Sea, following routes that
extended much more there of the gulf of Mexico. One
is sandy beaches, smooth slope, a favorable natural
land for the load and unloads of commercial products
of the intense Mayan economy.

Today it is difficult to think about that bay of dream
next to the reefs that are Paamul, like a site of commercial
traffic, where "... by the coast they walked many
Indians with two flags that they raised and they lowered...",
as it indicated Juan de Grijalva, Spanish conqueror.
At the Paamul present time it is a rest site, chosen
by that they prefer the nature like backwater of the
shaken life, where also can practice aquatic diving
and many other sports.

chosen by the marine turtles to lay eggs in the nights,
between the months of May to July, determining that
the place is therefore an ecological site of election
for which they wish to experience the pleasure of
the nature in his original state. Paamul, located
to half of way between Port Aventuras and Xcaret,
after Calica, offers the comfort of cabins between
the forest and the turquesa sea, the shade of coconut
palms and the possibility of experiencing the diversion
of the fishing or the diving, in a site of at sight
fantasy of turquesas waters of the Caribbean Sea.
